Chief Technology Officer
Jim has been a critical player in IT operations at AMTR for over 20 years; first, in a part-time capacity, then full-time since 2007. In 2013, he was appointed as Chief Technology Officer. His responsibilities include importing and managing over 200 million records in the AMTR database, as well as hardware, networking and software support and troubleshooting. He also has been instrumental in architecting and implementing AMTR’s proprietary auditing tools.
Prior to AMTR, Jim worked in various IT roles at Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission and DaySpring Cards. Overall, Jim has over 22 years of experience in design, creation and maintenance of networks, computer hardware, software systems and security. His experience in systems range from the IBM AS/400 and DEC VAX systems to PC database, file and web servers. He has created and maintained many large scale solutions utilizing Windows/SQL Server-based software as well as data warehousing and web server development. His specialties include: Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic .NET, GlobalScape FTP services, Microsoft Internet Information Server, database analysis and implementation, SQL Server DBA, Apple OSX, Microsoft Search Server, and the gamut of hardware troubleshooting and installation.
Jim holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Central Arkansas and is a graduate of the Arkansas Business Leadership Academy.
